On the Optimal Current Followers for Wide-Swing Current-Efficient Amplifiers [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2018
The design of various current followers for the implementation of OTAs with high slew rate and current efficiency is addressed. Two basic current follower topologies are compared, and modifications of both followers to improve these parameters are presented. As an application example, an enhanced recycling folded cascode OTA is proposed.

Coverage and efficiency in current SNP chips [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Human Genetics, 2014
To answer the question as to which commercial high-density SNP chip covers most of the human genome given a fixed budget, we compared the performance of 12 chips of different sizes released by Affymetrix and Illumina for the European, Asian, and African populations.

Efficiency of current drive by fast waves [PDF]

open access: yesThe Physics of Fluids, 1985
The Rosenbluth form for the collision operator for a weakly relativistic plasma is derived. The formalism adopted by Antonsen and Chu can then be used to calculate the efficiency of current drive by fast waves in a relativistic plasma. Accurate numerical results and analytic asymptotic limits for the efficiencies are given.

Current-Drive Efficiency in a Degenerate Plasma [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
In a degenerate plasma, the rates of electron processes are much smaller than the classical model would predict, affecting the efficiencies of current generation by external noninductive means, such as by electromagnetic radiation or intense ion beams.

Bonding efficiency and durability: current possibilities [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research, 2017
Bonding plays a major role in dentistry nowadays. Dental adhesives are used in association with composites to solve many restorative issues. However, the wide variety of bonding agents currently available makes it difficult for clinicians to choose the best alternative in terms of material and technique, especially when different clinical situations ...

An efficient full-wave solver for eddy currents

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 2022
An integral equation reformulation of the Maxwell transmission problem is presented. The reformulation uses techniques such as tuning of free parameters and augmentation of close-to-rank-deficient operators. It is designed for the eddy current regime and works both for surfaces of genus $0$ and $1$.

Electric Power Consumption and Current Efficiency of Electrochemical and Electrobiological Rotating Disk Contactors Removing Nutrients from Wastewater Generated in Soil-Less Plant Cultivation Systems

open access: yesWater, 2020
The study was conducted in a one-stage rotating electrobiological disk contactor (REBDC) and a rotating electrochemical disk contactor (RECDC). Synthetic wastewater with characteristics similar to the wastewater from soil-less cultivation of tomatoes was

Efficient Magnetization Reversal with Noisy Currents

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2006
We propose to accelerate reversal of the ferromagnetic order parameter in spin valves by electronic noise. By solving the stochastic equations of motion we show that the current-induced magnetization switching time is drastically reduced by a modest level of externally generated current (voltage) noise.

Brownian motors: Current fluctuations and rectification efficiency [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2004
With this work we investigate an often neglected aspect of Brownian motor transport: The rôle of fluctuations of the noise-induced current and its consequences for the efficiency of rectifying noise. In doing so, we consider a Brownian inertial motor that is driven by an unbiased monochromatic, time-periodic force and thermal noise.

Numerical analysis of current efficiency distributions in a protonic ceramic fuel cell using Nernst-Planck-Poisson model

open access: yes, 2020
Protonic ceramic fuel cells (PCFCs) operating at intermediate temperatures (400 °C~600 °C) are expected to demonstrate a high performance due to proton ( OH O · ) conductivity.
