Multitarget error estimation and adaptivity in aerodynamic flow simulations

open access: yes, 2008
Important quantities in aerodynamic flow simulations are the aerodynamic force coefficients including the pressure induced and the viscous stress induced drag, lift and moment coefficients.

Drug error in paediatric anaesthesia

open access: yes, 2018
Medication errors in paediatric anaesthesia and the perioperative setting continue to occur despite widespread recognition of the problem and published advice for reduction of this predicament at international, national, local and individual levels ...

Analysis of Steady-State Error in Torque Current Component Control of PMSM Drive

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2017
The paper presents dynamic properties of a vector controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor drive supplied by a voltage source inverter. The paper deals with a control loop for the torque producing stator current.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

A Bayesian vector error corrections model of the U.S. economy [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents a small-scale macroeconometric time-series model that can be used to generate short-term forecasts for U.S. output, inflation, and the rate of unemployment.

Measurement Error in Exposure Assessment: An Error Model and its Impact on Studies on Lung Cancer and Residential Radon Exposure in Germany [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Case-control studies on lung cancer and residential radon exposure had been conducted in Germany. Relative risk estimates from primary analysis were now subject to accounting for uncertainties in radon exposure and in the most potent confounder smoking.

Method for Correcting Error Due to Self-Heating of Resistance Temperature Detectors Suitable for Metrology in Industry 4.0

open access: yesSensors
This study contributes to improving the accuracy of temperature measurements with a platinum resistance temperature detector (RTD) by proposing techniques to mitigate the error due to self-heating by the operating current.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Red Signals: Trade Deficits and the Current Account

open access: yes, 2003
This paper proposes a method to asses the potential problems of sustainability of a country’s sovereign debt. We claim that the relevant variables used for this analysis are typically subject to changes which are associated with changes in ...
