The Effects of Wind Transfer Error on Current Retrieval
IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019The simultaneous measurements of ocean surface current and wind have attracted considerable interest. Since they are closely coupled at sea surface, wind errors (speed and direction) have a transfer effect on current retrieval. In this paper we investigate the effects of wind transfer error on current retrieval for a Doppler scattterometer.

The current approach to human error and blame in the NHS
British Journal of Nursing, 2003There is a large body of research to suggest that serious errors are widespread throughout medicine. The traditional response to these adverse events has been to adopt a ‘person approach’ — blaming the individual seen as ‘responsible’. The culture of medicine is highly complicit in this response.

Errors in persistent inward currents generated by space-clamp errors: a modeling study
Journal of Neurophysiology, 19951. The effects of imperfect space clamp on inactivating inward currents were examined with the use of a "ball-and-stick" neuronal model with uniform active and passive membrane properties. With poor space clamp, both transient and steady-state (persistent) components were distorted.

Mismatch-based timing errors in current steering DACs
Proceedings of the 2003 International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003. ISCAS '03., 2003Current Steering Digital-to-Analog Converters (CS-DAC) are important ingredients in many high-speed data converters. Various types of timing errors such as mismatch based timing errors limit broad-band performance. A framework of timing errors is presented here and it is used to analyze these errors.

Error analysis of an acoustic current meter
IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, 1991Accuracies of the benthic acoustic stress sensor (BASS) and the proposed modular acoustic velocity sensor (MAVS) are evaluated. A simple model of the hydrodynamic sources of error for acoustic current meters is presented and compared with the measured performance of BASS in a tow-tank and in field deployments.

Measurement Error in the Current Population Survey: A Nonparametric Look
Journal of Labor Economics, 1998"This article utilizes an exact match file between the 1978 March [U.S.] Current Population Survey and administrative records from the Social Security Administration to analyze errors in the reporting of annual income using nonparametric methodology....

Current status of the Suzaku pointing error
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012Since launch, the 3-axis attitude control using the Inertial Reference Unit (IRU) had been done with the combination of IRU-X/Z/S1. Recently, the output of the IRU-S1 had become noisy. We then switched over from the IRU-S1 to S2 at 03:21 on 18th, December 2009.

Current Instrument Transformer Error Calculations
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1963A nonlinear differential equation describing the steady-state operation of a current instrument transformer is formulated based upon a Rayleigh hysteresis loop approximation of the magnetic core effects. Using a harmonic-balance technique, a suitable approximate solution of this equation provides expressions for the RCF (ratio correction factor) and ...
