Linear current-mode ISFET arrays

2016 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2016
This paper investigates ISFET circuits operating in current mode and demonstrates linear pH-to-current operation. The two operating regions that provide linear gate-voltage to drain-current operation are the triode and velocity saturation regions which have been compared with a focus on pH sensing applications. Subsequently, two sensor arrays optimised

Current-mode analogue median filter

ICECS'99. Proceedings of ICECS '99. 6th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.99EX357), 2003
Median filters are very important nonlinear filters, finding many applications in image and speech processing. In recent years analogue implementation of nonlinear filters has gained new interest. In this work, a novel current-mode analogue median filter is proposed.

Current-Mode Filters

2014
Voltage-mode filters and especially their linearity and dynamic range suffer from the low supply voltages of deep-sub-micron and nanometer CMOS. This fact served as motivation to investigate current-mode filters with the hope for a better linearity and larger dynamic range. Current-mode filters also may allow saving of current-to-voltage and voltage-to-

A Current-Mode ADC with Adaptive Quantization

2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005
The paper presents an analog to digital converter (ADC) targeted for converting current-mode discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficients to digital bits. The conversion is performed in parallel and the operation is continuous in time. Adaptive quantization is included in the converter to fulfil the demands of several video compression standards.

Current Mode and Voltage Mode: basic considerations

2003 46th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
In this letter, the authors proposed a discussion concerning the actual meaning of 'current mode' and 'voltage mode' in the continuous-time domain. In this domain, it is assumed that analog processing is completed from transistors in voltage-controlled current source mode of operation.

A current-mode neuro-fuzzy network

1998 IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems. Surfing the Waves of Science and Technology (Cat. No.98EX196), 2002
A new neuro-fuzzy network based on a neural model called Approximate Identity Neural Network (AINN) is presented in this work. The ability of neural networks to learn from examples and the ability of the fuzzy model to code human knowledge can be helpfully joined to create an adaptive fuzzy system.

Current Follower based Current Mode Filters

2020 Third International Conference on Smart Systems and Inventive Technology (ICSSIT), 2020
An innovative topology to acknowledge a filter based on a current follower is addressed in this research work. The proposed circuit topology utilizes only a single current follower, with two resistors and two capacitors. By changing the components of the circuit, it can realize the filters such as low pass filter, high pass filter, and bandpass filter.

New current-mode precision rectifiers

1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
Current-mode techniques are used to realize improved high-frequency precision full-wave rectifiers (PFWRs). Three alternative topologies are described and compared in performance with the classical operational amplifier (op-amp)/diode PFWR. These are a new op-amp supply current-sensing PFWR, a modified classical op-amp/diode design and a novel current ...

A current-mode DTCNN universal chip

Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002
The paper describes an analog current mode realization of Discrete-Time Cellular Neural Networks (DTCNNs) with high cell density, which have local analog and local logic memory. Hence, some important parts of the CNN Universal Machine concept are implemented.

Current Mode Control

1997
As pointed out in Chapter 6, the conventional PWM converters are in essence feedback control systems and can therefore be treated accordingly with the available analytical tools, provided some additional steps are taken. The major theme of these types of treatments center, in almost all cases, around two performance merits: output voltage DC regulation
