Current-mode oscillators using single current follower [PDF]

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1991
A new configuration for realising sinusoidal quadrature oscillators using current follower (CF) is presented. The effects of nonzero-offset voltage and current (at the input and output terminals of a current follower, respectively) on the oscillator are discussed. The resulting oscillating frequency is insensitive to the current tracking error of a CF.

A Current‐mode Logarithmic Function Circuit [PDF]

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 2003
A new current‐mode analog circuit configuration that implements the function ln (x/y) is proposed. The circuit uses bipolar transistors and resistors and is suitable for integration. In the proposed circuit the ratio (x/y) can be larger or smaller than unity. Simulation results are included.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Electronically Tunable Current-mode High-order Ladder Low-pass Filters Based on CMOS Technology [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2015
This paper describes the design of current mode low-pass ladder filters based on CMOS technology. The filters are derived from passive RLC ladder filter prototypes using new CMOS lossy and lossless integrators.

Effective action approach and Carlson-Goldman mode in d-wave superconductors

open access: yes, 2002
We theoretically investigate the Carlson-Goldman (CG) mode in two-dimensional clean d-wave superconductors using the effective ``phase only'' action formalism.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Do current-density nonlinearities cut off the glass transition? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Extended mode coupling theories for dense fluids predict that nonlinear current-density couplings cut off the singular `ideal glass transition', present in the standard mode coupling theory where such couplings are ignored.
