A new current-mode control for DC/DC converter
INTELEC 05 - Twenty-Seventh International Telecommunications Conference, 2005Current-sensing is used widely in smart power chips, especially in DC/DC converter for voltage regulator modules (VRM), implemented with interleaved synchronous rectifier buck converters. The interleaved technique main difficulty is due to its current-sharing control between the several modules.

Slide mode control via current mode control in DC-DC converters
IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2003We first study the behavior of a current-mode-controlled boost converter and exhibit its chaotic behavior (when the duty cycle exceeds 50%). We then introduce a practical method (sliding mode control) aiming at totally eliminating chaos and at keeping the desired current-controlled property.

A novel current-mode techniqe for controlling the average value of converter switch current
1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002A new current-programmed control technique for controlling the average value of converter switch current is presented. Based on this technique, a control loop that controls the average value of the output current in a Cuk converter is synthesized in the case of fixed frequency operation.
