General current-mode filtering structure with controllable current active elements

2013 36th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2013
This contribution presents general filtering structure from which many filtering solutions with different target features can be derived. This topology utilizes only current active elements and is designed for current-mode operation. One particular solution with independently adjustable quality factor is presented and analyzed.

Application of slide mode control to a current-mode-controlled boost converter

IEEE 2002 28th Annual Conference of the Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 02, 2003
We first study the behavior of a current-mode-controlled boost converter and exhibit its chaotic behavior (when the duty cycle exceeds 50%). We then introduce a practical method (sliding mode control) aiming at totally eliminating chaos and at keeping the desired current-controlled property.

A modified dual current mode control method with an adaptive current bandwidth

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2015
SummaryIn this paper, a new adaptive dual current mode control method (ADCMC) is presented, being a result of the modification of existing dual current mode control (DCMC) by introducing an adaptive current bandwidth. The ADCMC offers several important advantages over DCMC, such as no peak‐to‐average error in the inductor current, better transient ...

Combined lossless current sensing for current mode control

Nineteenth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2004. APEC '04., 2004
In this paper, we provide basic time domain analysis of the combined lossless current sensing scheme. When applied to current mode control, it is noted that the selection of the RC current sensing components is not limited by the matching condition. For reliable steady state operation, the choice of the RC components may be accommodated for better SNR ...

Robust control of multimodule current-mode controlled converters

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1993
A robust controller for multimodule current-mode push-pull converters is presented. First, the small-signal equivalent circuit and the transfer function model of the multimodule converter system are obtained. Then, the selection of slope compensation and the model reduction are performed using the concept of dominant energy mode.

Current mode control of frequency controlled resonant converters

INTELEC - Twentieth International Telecommunications Energy Conference (Cat. No.98CH36263), 2002
This paper examines an implementation of the average current mode control (ACMC) in a frequency controlled series resonant converter used in a telecommunication rectifier. This control mode provides very fast output overcurrent protection and improves reliability of the series resonant converter.

A PLL-based current-mode PWM circuit suitable for current-mode controlled techniques

2008 9th International Conference on Solid-State and Integrated-Circuit Technology, 2008
A wide-range current-mode pulse-width modulation circuit for current-mode controlled techniques is presented in this paper. The proposed circuit has been designed and implemented using 0.35-?m CMOS 2P4M process. The core die size is around 95×115 ?m2 . The experimental results show that the variation of the output frequency within ±0.25%.

THE UNIFIED MODEL FOR CURRENT-MODE CONTROL: AN ALTERNATIVE DERIVATION

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2004
The two prevalent s-domain models for current-mode control, the continuous-time model and the unified model, exhibit noticeable differences in their small-signal predictions and therefore have become the subject of comparisons and clarifications.

Current controlled current-mode universal filter using CCCCTAs

2011 International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2011
This article presents a current-mode universal filter performing completely standard functions: low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, band-reject and all-pass functions. The features of the circuit are that: the quality factor and pole frequency can be tuned electronically via the input bias currents: the circuit description is very simple, consisting of ...

Current-mode analog CMOS Fuzzy Logic Controller

2010 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems, 2010
One of the active areas of fuzzy logic applications is control systems. In this paper presents a proposed Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) chips utilized a novel Membership Function Circuit (MFC) which can be made programmable. This membership function is simply tunable by setting some voltages on IC pins.
