Adaptive fuzzy fractional-order sliding-mode control of LCL-interfaced grid-connected converter with reduced-order [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
This paper proposes a discrete-time fuzzy fractional-order sliding-mode control (Fuzzy-FOSMC) dual loop current controller for a three-phase LCL-type grid-connected converter (GCC) with reduced order.

Influence of Automated Façades on Occupants

open access: yesJournal of Facade Design and Engineering, 2022
Several studies performing building simulations showed that the automated control of façades can provide higher levels of indoor environmental quality and lower energy demand in buildings, in comparison to manually controlled scenarios.

Characteristics of Gliding Arc Plasma and Its Application in Swirl Flame Static Instability Control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Based on an experimental system involving a pulsating airflow burner and gliding arc generator, the characteristics of gliding arc plasma at different flow rates and its control effect on the static instability of the swirl flame have been studied.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Tribological performance of porous silicon hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
Many studies have focused on surface texturing to control friction and wear in the past few decades. The underlying reasons for surface texturing effects under various contact situations remain a source of debate. The connection between surface roughness

Digital current mode control for multiple input converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
textIn this thesis, the possibility of applying digital current mode control on multiple-input (MI) converters is studied. As for MI topologies having a central energy transfer inductor, the predictive constant on-time current-mode control can greatly ...

Fault tolerant operation of three-phase 3 level T-Type qZS inverters using sliding mode current controllers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Due to the boost characteristic and the several possible outputs of quasi-Z-source inverters (qZSI), these topologies can be valuable options to operate under fault conditions, provided the controller is able to take advantage of the available output ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
