To improve the dynamic and steady-state control performance of permanent magnet synchronous motors under the three-vector model predictive current control method, this study proposes a switching current predictive control method based on the exponential ...

Direct adaptive current control in space vector overmodulation mode
In this paper an algorithm is presented how the current slopes of the freewheeling switching states of an VSI- driven 3-phase isotropic synchronous machine can be obtained by only evaluating the measured current slopes during the two applied active switching states.

Alcohol‐induced altered glycans in human tracheal epithelial cells promote bacterial adhesion
Alcohol induces altered glycans to promote bacteria adhesion. Heavy alcohol drinking is known to increase the risk of bacterial pneumonia. However, the link between alcohol levels and risk of infection remains underexplored. Recently, we found that alcohol induced α2‐6sialo mucin O‐glycans in human tracheobronchial epithelial cells, which mediated the ...

A Three-Vector Fast Model Predictive Control Method for Steady State Performance Improvement
A fast three-vector model predictive control method based on an improved H8 inverter is proposed for the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) driven by a two-level three-phase voltage source inverter.

BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its

Contained semi-field environments for ecological studies on transgenic African malaria vectors: benefits and constraints [PDF]
New interventions are needed to reduce the burden of vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengué, which are among the most serious and prevalent infectious diseases worldwide. The release of genetically modified (GM) mosquitoes may offer an alternative

\ud Detection and Monitoring of Insecticide Resistance in Malaria Vectors in Tanzania Mainland\ud [PDF]
\ud Vector control is a major component of the global strategy for malaria control which aims to prevent parasite transmission mainly through interventions targeting adult Anopheline vectors.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Combining unrelated insecticides for improved control and management of insecticide resistant African malaria vectors [PDF]
It is now generally accepted that if nothing is done and insecticide resistance in malaria vectors especially to pyrethroids eventually led to widespread failure of current vector control strategies, the progress achieved so far in reducing the burden of
