Fusselman-Cisco Play, Roosevelt Positive, Roosevelt and Curry Counties, New Mexico: ABSTRACT

The Roosevelt positive is bounded on the south by the petroliferous Northwest Shelf province; the Tucumcari basin lies to the north. The current Fusselman-Cisco play was ignited in June 1978, by discovery of South Peterson-Fusselman field by Enserch in T5S, R33E. The discovery well had produced over 560,000 bbl of oil to January 1, 1984.

An Archaeological Survey of 4,690 Acres on Melrose Air Force Range, Curry and Roosevelt Counties, New Mexico

The survey was conducted on several parcels located on the southeastern portion of the range. Seven archaeological sites were discovered during the course of the survey along with 24 isolated occurrences. Six of the sites date to the Historic period and are associated with early homesteading and ranching activities.

Three classic carbonate models (carbonate bank, oolitic shoal, and tidal flat) are applied to interpret the depositional environments and diagenesis of the Caddo limestone (Middle Pennsylvanian). The study area is located in west-central Stephens County, approximately 4 mi southwest of Breckenridge, Texas.

Developments in the Mexia fault zone since January, 1923, have shown that the several oil and gas pools in this zone are bounded on the west by distinct faults which overlap one another in a definite manner. The conditions attending these faults suggest that torsional stress operated in their orlgin.

Class III Cultural Resources Inventory of Portions of the Melrose Air Force Range, Curry and Roosevelt Counties, New Mexico

1995
A Class III cultural resources survey of fence line corridors, waterline corridors, and selected parcels of land was conducted in three phases during October 1990 and December 1991, and resulted in inventory of 57.8 linear mi (93 lan) of 50 ft (15 m) wide fence line and waterline corridors and ten sample parcels totaling 2240 acres of land.
