The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Deep Learning-Based Simultaneous Temperature- and Curvature-Sensitive Scatterplot Recognition
Since light propagation in a multimode fiber (MMF) exhibits visually random and complex scattering patterns due to external interference, this study numerically models temperature and curvature through the finite element method in order to understand the

Observation of Accelerating Wave Packets in Curved Space
We present the first experimental observation of accelerating beams in curved space. More specifically, we demonstrate, experimentally and theoretically, shape-preserving accelerating beams propagating on spherical surfaces: closed-form solutions of the ...

In this paper, a novel inline optical fiber sensor for curvature and temperature measurement simultaneously has been proposed and demonstrated, which can measure two parameters with very little crosstalk. Two combinational mechanisms of anti-resonant reflecting optical waveguide and inline Mach–Zehnder interference structure are integrated into a 3 mm ...

Worm addendum thickness and gear curvature interference for enveloping cylindrical worm drive with arc-toothed worm [PDF]
The purpose of this paper is to provide the calculation methods on worm addendum thickness and curvature interference limit line, and find the feasible value range of the technological crossing angle to avoiding addendum sharpening and curvature interference for enveloping cylindrical worm drive with arc-toothed worm. In accordance with the features of

The spinor representation of constant mean curvature one surfaces in the Hyperbolic space [PDF]
We review and comment on some aspects of the spinor representation for constant mean curvature one surfaces in hyperbolic space developed by Bobenko-Pavlyukevich-Springborn in [1].

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
