ROD CURVES AND CURVE FAMILIES GENERATED BY A R-PRR-RPP-RPR TYPE MECHANISM

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii "Constantin Brâncuşi" din Târgu Jiu: Seria Inginerie, 2019
An R-PRR-RPP-RPR type mechanism was obtained by binding two dyads to the oscillating slide mechanism. The aim was to obtain a mechanism with the final connecting rod supported on the connecting rod curves generated by the previous dyads, so that the shape of the connecting rod curves generated by the points on this connecting rod would be as ...

Plasma propellant interactions in an electrothermal-chemical gun [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This Thesis covers work conducted to understand the mechanisms underpinning the operation of the electrothermal-chemical gun. The initial formation of plasma from electrically exploding wires, through to the development of plasma venting from the ...

Aerodynamics of wind turbines

open access: yes, 2011
PhDThe study of rotor blade aerodynamic performances of wind tur- bine has been presented in this thesis. This study was focused on aero- dynamic effects changed by blade surface distribution as well as grid solution along the airfoil.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

CURVES AND FAMILIES OF ROD CURVES GENERATED BY A R-RRP-RRP-RPR TYPE MECHANISM

open access: yesAnalele Universităţii "Constantin Brâncuşi" din Târgu Jiu: Seria Inginerie, 2019
The synthesis of a mechanism of type R-RRP-RRP-RPR was made, starting from the rod-crank mechanism, completing it with two dyads. It was sought to obtain curves generated by points on a connecting rod that rests at the ends on other connecting curves.

Study on new rocker curves generated by a three diades mechanism

open access: yesScientific Bulletin of Naval Academy, 2018
Mechanisms generating rocker curves have a great use in the machine building industry. In the specialty literature a lot of papers have been published regarding the analysis and synthesis of mechanisms for rocker curves. In this paper the R-RRR-RPP-RPP mechanism is studied, a three-diade mechanism that generates special rocker curves.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
