Self-healing juvenile cutaneous mucinosis
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1984A case of self-healing juvenile cutaneous mucinosis is presented. It demonstrates typical features of the disease: early age of onset, infiltrated plaque lesions of the head and torso, nodules of the face and periarticular regions, rapid onset accompanied by inflammatory phenomena, and spontaneous resolution over a few months.

Linear Morphea with Secondary Cutaneous Mucinosis
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 1992Secondary mucinosis is a common finding in connective tissue diseases, especially in lupus erythematosus and dermatomyositis, but is seen only rarely in morphea. We report the case of a 9-year-old boy who presented with linearly arranged, flesh-colored to erythematous, indurated, very tender plaques on his right arm.

Nodular Cutaneous Mucinosis – An Unusual Multiple Type of Euthyreotic Focal Mucinosis
Dermatologica, 2009A 32-year-old Turkish man with a progressive appearance of indolent, skin-colored nodules on the trunk and proximal extremities is presented. Clinical and laboratory examinations did not reveal any other relevant abnormalities. Der Hautarzt; Zeitschrift fur Dermatologie, Venerologie, und verwandte Gebiete, 1987
Clinically, the skin changes observed in a 34-year-old woman were suggestive of the reticular erythematosis mucinosis (REM) syndrome. On palpation, however, the changes suggested the plaque-type REM syndrome. Histologically, broad, well-delineated cell-rich bundles were found with abundant alcian-blue-positive material, together with a lymphocytic ...

Plaquelike Cutaneous Lupus Mucinosis
Archives of Dermatology, 1993To the Editor.— The concept of nodular cutaneous mucinosis with lupus erythematosus (LE) has been proposed as a distinct variant of cutaneous LE because of its specific clinical features and the histologic evidence of mucin deposition. 1-5 Recently, we examined two patients with systemic LE (SLE) in whom large indurated plaquelike lesions developed ...

Morphea-like cutaneous mucinosis
Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, 1996Abstract A whitish, indurated, oval plaque, lasting for 1.5 year, was observed in the right paraumbilical skin of a middle-aged man in otherwise good health. No erythema was present or referred. Histological examination revealed massive deposits of a globular, slightly basophilic, amorphous substance in the dermis, accompanied by a slight ...
