Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A study on cryogenic supercritical carbon dioxide coolant delivery technique when machining of AISI 1045 steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The machining operation involves a material removal process and develop high temperature due to the friction force. The heat generated at the region of cutting edge has critical influences on machining process.

Slicing of silicon into sheet material: Silicon sheet growth development for the large area silicon sheet task of the Low Cost Silicon Solar Array project [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
The limits of blade tolerance were defined. The standard blades are T-2 thickness tolerance. Good results were obtained by using a slurry fluid consisting of mineral oil and a lubricity additive.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Investigations on the effect of silver nanoparticles on performance of coconut oil based cutting fluid in minimal fluid application

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2022
In this work, an innovative nanocutting fluid, based on coconut oil was developed by dispersing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) of size less than 50 nm. The tribological and physical properties of the prepared nanocutting fluid with different volumes of ...

Pengaruh Penambahan Zat Aditif (Calcium Hypochlorite) terhadap Coolant Properties (Viscosity) Minyak Sawit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Cutting fluid (coolant) are required in the machining processes. Most of cutting fluid are from mineral oil, and they are as unrenewable resource, therefore look for alternative resources ofmineral oil, which derived from vegetables oil.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Study of cryogenic machining for single tip cutting tooll using new cooling system design [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In steel machining, high cutting temperature result will reduce the cutting tool life and also reduce the product quality. Conventional cutting fluid used to controlling the high cutting temperature but it is ineffective.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Tubing and cable cutting tool [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
A hand held hydraulic cutting tool was developed which is particularly useful in deactivating ejection seats in military aircraft rescue operations. The tool consists primarily of a hydraulic system composed of a fluid reservoir, a pumping piston, and an
