1976The dynamic behaviour of metal cutting process is investigated by measuring the various components of dynamic cutting force. For the complete description of dynamics of metal cutting it is necessary to give eight components belonging to the resultant dynamic cutting force in an orthogonal cutting process.

Improved method for the cutting coefficients calculation in micromilling force modeling
2008This paper discusses the influence of runout on the calculation of the coefficients of mechanistic force models in micromilling. A runout mode is used to study the change of chip thickness, tool angles, and immersion period of two cutting edges of micro endmills due to runout.

1980The dynamic behaviour of metal cutting process is investigated by measuring the Dynamic Cutting Force Coefficients. Measurements of eight components of the DCFC's are needed to describe completely the dynamics of metal cutting. This requires complex test apparatus and procedures, yet the experimental results are not very convincing.
