Nickel-Catalyzed Reductive Cyanation of Aryl Halides and Epoxides with Cyanogen Bromide [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules
Nitriles are valuable compounds because they have widespread applications in organic chemistry. This report details the nickel-catalyzed reductive cyanation of aryl halides and epoxides with cyanogen bromide for the synthesis of nitriles.

Are Methionine Sulfoxide-Containing Proteins Related to Seed Longevity? A Case Study of Arabidopsis thaliana Dry Mature Seeds Using Cyanogen Bromide Attack and Two-Dimensional-Diagonal Electrophoresis [PDF]

open access: yesPlants, 2022
In recent years, several reports pointed out the role of protein oxidation in seed longevity, notably regarding the oxidation of methionine (Met) residues to methionine sulfoxide (MetO) in proteins.

Thioredoxin 2: cleavage with cyanogen bromide. [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Biochemistry, 1967
A simple and highly reproducible method for the preparation of thioredoxin from Escherichia coli B was worked out. On treatment with cyanogen bromide thioredoxin was cleaved into two peptides which were separated by chromatography on Sephadex G-50.

Enfuvirtide biosynthesis in thermostable chaperone-based fusion [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnology Reports, 2022
Synthetic peptides are in high demand as biologically active substances. Solid phase synthesis is the primary method of peptide production. However, it has drawbacks: large amount of chemical waste and rapid increase in price with peptide length ...

Conformational Properties of Cyanogen Bromide-cleaved Glucagon

open access: hybridJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1972
Abstract The circular dichroism of the cyanogen bromide peptide of glucagon, measured in dilute aqueous solution, in chloroethanol, and in urea is similar to that of glucagon. However, in more concentrated aqueous solutions the cyanogen bromide peptide does not rapidly aggregate to structures of higher helical content as does glucagon.

Introducing a New Method for Purification of Human IL-4 by Substitution of a Single Amino Acid in IL-4 Protein Sequence [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Immunology, 2022
Background: It is advantageous to develop an effective purification procedure to produce recombinant protein drugs (rPDs) without any tags. To remove N- or C-terminus tags from the rPDs, several cleavage site-based endopeptidases were used.
