To Cycle or Not to Cycle: That Is the Question
SSPC 2017 Greencoat, 2017Abstract Previous papers by two of the authors have examined 1) the futility of attempting to correlate accelerated corrosion testing results to real world corrosion observations, and 2) how corrosion testing is useful as an indicator of performance without the need for real world correlation and what may be expected in a corrosive ...

Pediatric Emergency Care, 1989
Despite widespread belief that violence begets violence, methodological problems substantially restrict knowledge of the long-term consequences of childhood victimization. Empirical evidence for this cycle of violence has been examined. Findings from a cohort study show that being abused or neglected as a child increases one's risk for delinquency ...

It is shown, that for each constant k≥1, the following problems can be solved in [Formula: see text] time: given a graph G, determine whether G has k vertex disjoint cycles, determine whether G has k edge disjoint cycles, determine whether G has a feedback vertex set of size ≤k. Also, every class [Formula: see text], that is closed under minor taking,

The domestic violence literature documents the cyclical nature of women's relationships with violent partners. Furthermore, research on low-income women also indicates that many cycle between welfare and low-wage work. This qualitative study illustrates how these cycles intersect in the lives of 17 low-income battered women.
