Insect‐Derived Bioactives for Glycemic Control and Gut Health: A Review

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
Insect‐derived bioactive compounds (e.g., peptides, polysaccharides) effectively regulate blood glucose through dual mechanisms: directly inhibiting carbohydrate‐digesting enzymes and glucose transporters, and indirectly modulating gut microbiota to enhance intestinal barrier integrity.

U-shaped association between plasma cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate (cGAMP) levels and myocardial infarction

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders
Background The cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate synthase-stimulator of interferon genes (cGAS-STING) signaling pathway is closely associated with myocardial infarction (MI).

The efficient synthesis and purification of 2′3’- cGAMP from Escherichia coli

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Agonists of the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway are being explored as potential immunotherapeutics for the treatment of cancer and as vaccine adjuvants for infectious diseases.

Molecular Mechanism of Mulberrin Regulating Lipid Metabolism Homeostasis Based on the Gut–Liver Axis Fiaf/AMPK Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
The molecular mechanism for mulberrin regulating lipid metabolism homeostasis. ABSTRACT Lipid metabolism disorders and the induced metabolic diseases have risen to become one of the primary public health issues. Our preliminary experimental results confirmed that mulberry leaf flavonoid extract exhibited efficacy in lipid metabolism regulation; the ...

Somatic cell reprogramming for Parkinson's disease treatment

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 59-73, Spring 2025.
The fundamental purpose of cell reprogramming to treat Parkinson's disease is to generate dopaminergic neurons (DAN) and do transplantation. There are two ways to accomplish this. One method is to induce cells into induced DA neurons (iDAN) directly or to induce cells into induced pluripotent stem cells and ultimately into iDAN in vitro. Another option
