Cyclic voltammetry of phenazines and quinoxalines including mono- and di-N-oxides. Relation to structure and antimicrobial activity [PDF]

open access: yesChemico-Biological Interactions, 1986
Cyclic voltammetry data were obtained for eight phenazines and phenazine-N-oxides, and eleven quinoxalines and quinoxaline-N-oxides: 1,6-phenazine-diol-5,10-dioxide (iodinin), iodinin copper complex, 6-methoxy-1-phenazinol-5,10-dioxide 1,6-dimethoxyphenazine-5-oxide, 1,6-phenazinediol, 1,6-dimethoxyphenazine, quinoxaline-1,4-dioxide, 2 ...

Copper-catalyzed cross-dehydrogenative coupling of pyridine N-oxides with cyclic ethers

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2016
Highly chemo- and regioselective synthesis of 2-alkylpyridine N-oxides from pyridine N-oxides and cyclic ethers has been developed through copper-catalyzed CDC reactions using CuO as the catalyst under mild reaction conditions. Optimization study showed that, K2S2O8 is the best oxidant for the reaction and the mechanistic study proved the radical ...

Cyclization of N,N-diethylgeranylamine N-oxide in one-pot operation: preparation of cyclic terpenoid-aroma chemicals

Tetrahedron Letters, 2008
Acid promoted cyclization of the geranylamine N-oxide (E)-4 followed by base-catalyzed intramolecular aldol condensation afforded 1-acetyl-4,4-dimethyl-1-cyclohexene (7) in one-pot operation. Reduction of 7, which possess strong fruity odor, followed by lipase-catalyzed kinetic resolution furnished the acetate (R)-26 (>49.9% yield, >99% ee) and the ...

A cyclic voltammetric study of some quinoxaline di-n-oxides and quinoxalines in acetonitrile: substituent effect on the cathodic reduction

Electrochimica Acta, 1987
Abstract The cathodic reductions of two series of substituted quinoxaline di- N -oxides and quinoxalines in acetonitrile were measured in the potential range of 0 to āˆ’2.0 V and 0 to āˆ’2.3 V vs sce , respectively. Two irreversible reductions were observed in the first series, and one reversible reduction for the second.
