Oxidative Approach Enables Efficient Access to Cyclic Azobenzenes
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2019Azobenzenes are versatile photoswitches that have found widespread use in a variety of fields, ranging from photopharmacology to the material sciences. In addition to regular azobenzenes, the cyclic diazocines have recently emerged. Although diazocines have fascinating conformational and photophysical properties, their use has been limited by their ...

Nitric Oxide Cycle in Mammals and the Cyclicity Principle
Biochemistry (Moscow), 2002This paper continues a series of reports considering nitric oxide (NO) and its cyclic conversions in mammals. Numerous facts are summarized with the goal of developing a general concept that would allow the statement of the multiple effects of NO on various systems of living organisms in the form of a short and comprehensive law.

Cyclic oxidation of Haynes 230 alloy
Journal of Materials Science, 1992The cyclic oxidation of Haynes 230 alloy (Ni-Cr-W-Mo alloy) was investigated in air at three different temperatures, 871, 982 and 1093 °C. Studies indicated that during cyclic oxidation, protective scales formed which were predominantly Cr2O3, with Kirkendall voids formed both at the scale/alloy interface and grain boundaries. Intergranular oxides were

Transformation of cyclic alcohols on neodymium oxide
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19641. The conversion of cyclohexanol at 200–500°, cyclopentanol and methylcyclohexanols at 350° on Nd2O3 was investigated in a circulating-type system in a stream of nitrogen. 2. The activation energy of the dehydration of cyclohexanol on Nd2O3 (determined without dilution with nitrogen) at 230–286° is 23.3 kcal/mole.

The effect of pyrvate on cyclic oxidations by heart sarcosomes
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1967Abstract 1. The stoichiometry of oxidation of pyruvate and glutamate by heart mitochondria has been reinvestigated. 2. The inhibition by pyruvate of its own oxidation and that of glutamate is shown to be due not to a side reaction, but to a trace amount of contaminant (probably parapyruvate) which inhibits reversibly the reoxidation of cyclicly ...
