Computer Simulation of Cyclic Oxidation

JOM, 1988
A computer program has been developed which simulates the cyclic oxidation behavior of materials. The simulation is based on the assumption that the weight fraction of scale that spalls in any thermal cycle is proportional to the amount of scale present on the surface at the beginning of the cycle.

Cyclic Oxidation of Iron Aluminides

CORROSION 1993, 1993
Abstract Iron aluminides containing 16 to 28 at.% Al and other more minor alloying elements were subjected to air oxidation under moderate thermal cycling conditions. Aluminides with 16 at.% Al and additions of chromium (5%) and zirconium (0.1%) were superior to binary alloys of 16 and 20% Al in oxidation resistance at 900 and 1000°C and

OXIDATION PRODUCTS OF CYCLIC THIONES

Phosphorous and Sulfur and the Related Elements, 1976
Abstract A large number of cyclic thiones has been synthesized. These include alicyclic and heterocyclic thiones, the latter including those with potential aromatic character. It is the intention of this paper to summarize the reactions of a number of simple systems of this type with a variety of reagents which lead to modification of the thione ...

Oxidative Kinetic Resolution of Cyclic Benzylic Ethers

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2020
AbstractA manganese‐catalyzed oxidative kinetic resolution of cyclic benzylic ethers through asymmetric C(sp3)−H oxidation is reported. The practical approach is applicable to a wide range of 1,3‐dihydroisobenzofurans bearing diverse functional groups and substituent patterns at the α position with extremely efficient enantiodiscrimination.

Copper-catalyzed oxidation of arene-fused cyclic amines to cyclic imides

Chemical Communications, 2013
A novel copper-catalyzed oxidation of arene-fused cyclic amines to the corresponding cyclic imides has been developed. The reaction can be used to synthesize 1,3-disubstituted TPD in high yields.
