Oxidative Folding of Cyclic Cystine Knot Proteins
Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, 2008Cyclic cystine knot proteins are small but topologically complex molecules that occur naturally in plants and have a wide range of bioactivities that make them interesting from a pharmaceutical perspective. Their remarkable stability is dependent on the correct formation of a knotted arrangement of disulfide bonds.

Novel Cyclic Ketones for Catalytic Oxidation Reactions
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1998In our effort to search for C2 symmetric and conformationally rigid chiral ketones as catalysts for asymmetric epoxidation, a series of cyclic ketones 4−10 were prepared from the corresponding diacids. Compared with acyclic ketones for epoxidation of trans-stilbene, those 9-, 10-, and 11-membered-ring cyclic ketones were found to have much higher ...

Electrochemical oxidation of cyclic polysilanes
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2003Abstract During the past decade, the electrochemical properties of cyclic polysilane derivatives, namely [Mes2Si]3 (I), [t-Bu(Me)Si]4 (IIa), [Et2Si]4 (IIb), [(n-Pr)2Si]5 (IIIa), [Et2Si]5 (IIIb), [Me2Si]6 (IVa), [Et2Si]6 (IVb), [Et2Si]7 (V), [Me2Si]8 (VI), and [Me2Si]9 (VII), have been explored in our laboratory.

The Cyclic Oxidation behavior of Oxide-Dispersed β-NiAl
MRS Proceedings, 1994AbstractShort-term cyclic oxidation tests were performed at 1200°C and 1500°C on ²-NiAl with 1 vol% oxide dispersions of Y2O3, La2O3 and Al2O3. The Y2O3 addition resulted in a very adherent ±-Al2O3 scale at 1200°C, with some improvement in the scale adhesion at 1500°C, compared to an undoped ²-NiAl alloy.

Oxidative Approach Enables Efficient Access to Cyclic Azobenzenes
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2019Azobenzenes are versatile photoswitches that have found widespread use in a variety of fields, ranging from photopharmacology to the material sciences. In addition to regular azobenzenes, the cyclic diazocines have recently emerged. Although diazocines have fascinating conformational and photophysical properties, their use has been limited by their ...

Cyclic oxidation of Haynes 230 alloy
Journal of Materials Science, 1992The cyclic oxidation of Haynes 230 alloy (Ni-Cr-W-Mo alloy) was investigated in air at three different temperatures, 871, 982 and 1093 °C. Studies indicated that during cyclic oxidation, protective scales formed which were predominantly Cr2O3, with Kirkendall voids formed both at the scale/alloy interface and grain boundaries. Intergranular oxides were

Nitric oxide and the other cyclic nucleotide
Cellular Signalling, 2002Nitric oxide (NO) participates in the regulation of the daily activities of cells as well as in cytotoxic events. Elucidating the mechanism(s) by which NO carries out its diverse functions has been the goal of numerous laboratories. In the cardiovascular system, evidence indicates that NO mediates its effects via an activation of soluble guanylyl ...

Cyclic Oxidation of Heat Resisting Steels
Oxidation of Metals, 2005Standard cast, heat resisting steels containing 25–29 w/o (weight percent) chromium and 30–36 w/o nickel together with cast alloys containing 45 or 60 w/o nickel plus low levels of aluminium were subjected to cyclic oxidation in air at 1000 and 1150°C.

Preparative electrochemical oxidation of cyclic peralkylsilanes
Tetrahedron Letters, 1992Abstract The electrochemical oxidation of cyclic peralkylsilanes undergo ring opening followed by further SiSi bond cleavage and reaction with BF 4 - to form α,ω-difluorosilanes, F-(SiR 2 ) n -F, as major products.

Cyclic sulfoxides. I. dihydrothiophene 1‐oxides
Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1967AbstractAlthough there have been extensive investigations on cyclic sulfones, especially the unsaturated, 5‐membered ring compounds (3), cyclic sulfoxides have received considerably less attention. In this report, we wish to present a synthesis of the previously unknown dihydrothiophene 1‐oxide isomers and, also, some preliminary results regarding ...
