Cyclic interferometers for optical testing

Applied Optics, 1983
In this paper, we describe two compact cyclic interferometers which can be used for the testing of right-angle prisms; with some modifications they can also be used for testing convergent wave fronts.

Cyclic testing of meniscal sutures

Arthroscopy, 2000
Summary: Suturing the meniscus has become a standard procedure for repairable tears. Studies investigating the outcome of meniscal sutures report a considerable rate of failures. Regarding the indications, which have been extended to the avascular zones, and regarding some accelerated rehabilitation protocols, the

Cyclic Pressuremeter Tests for Cyclic Lateral Loads

Offshore Technology Conference, 1984
ABSTRACT The results of thirteen cyclic pressuremeter tests performed in hand augured holes on a stiff clay are presented. These tests show that the slope of the unload-reload loop stabilizes after only a few cycles but that the strain at the peak of the cycle continues to cumulate long after the slope of the loop ...

Cyclic Temperature stress testing of pharmaceuticals

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 1992
AbstractIn a previous communication the present authors have commented on some aspects of stability testing (1). The objective of the present brief paper is to comment on the design and application of cyclic temperature stress testing for pharmaceuticals. We believe it to be timely to offer such comments now because of the present increased interest in

Cyclic testing of arthroscopic knot security

Arthroscopy, 2004
Abstract Purpose Arthroscopic soft tissue repairs undergo many cycles of tensioning and relaxation before significant tissue healing occurs, and knot security under cyclic loads is essential for good results after these repairs.

Test generation for cyclic combinational circuits

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1995
Circuits that have an underlying acyclic topology are guaranteed to be combinational since feedback is necessary for sequential behavior. However, the reverse is not true, i,e., feedback is not a sufficient condition since there do exist combinational logic circuits that are cyclic.

An experimental test of phonemic cyclicity

Journal of Child Language, 1996
ABSTRACTLaryngeal-supralaryngeal cyclicity has been put forth as an acquisition principle that describes expansion of the phonemic inventory as a bivalent cycle with alternations between the elaboration of laryngeal and supralaryngeal properties of the system (Gierut, 1994).

A Test of the Cyclicity of Earthquakes

Natural Hazards, 1997
The periodogram analysis of time intervals between successive earthquakes is used for testing the seismic gap hypothesis. Using the available data, it is shown that the existence of a periodic component can be rejected with high confidence. The test provides evidence against quasi-periodicity and regular clustering of the arrival times.

Cyclic Testing and Modeling of Interfaces

Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, 1985
A new device for cyclic testing of large size interfaces between structural and geologic materials and rock joints is described. Test results are reported for a sand‐concrete interface, and are used to express shear stress as function of normal stress, relative displacement, number of loading cycles and initial density.
