Limited association between HRR gene alterations and HRD in molecular tumor board cancer samples: Who should be tested for HRD?

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? Currently, no published data on homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) testing in the setting of molecular tumor boards exist. This study in a cohort of 237 patients encompassing 24 different tumor entities assessed by a molecular tumor board shows that inactivating alterations of BRCA1/2 are not always associated with an elevated ...

Candidate Biomarkers Associated With Circulating Tumor Cell Status in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 39, Issue 7, April 2025.
This study investigates circulating miRNA signatures linked to the status of circulating tumor cells (CTC) in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Using AdnaTest ColonCancer technology and miRNA microarray analysis, we identified downregulated miRNAs associated with CTC status, including miR‐181c‐5p, miR‐199a‐5p, miR‐500b‐5p, and miR‐769‐5p.
