Influence of Ni concentration on α-MnO2 catalyst support and its potential application for benzene hydrogenation to cyclohexane

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science
Herein, we report the influence of Ni at different concentrations on manganese oxide catalyst support (Ni/α-MnO2) prepared by the combined wet-impregnation and chemical reduction methods.

Intelligent Soft Opto‐Magnetic Robot for Minimally Invasive Interventional Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An intelligent soft opto‐magnetic (iSOM) robot is developed that integrates remote magnetic actuation, skin‐mimic tactile perception, and photothermal ablation in a near‐millimeter‐scale design. It enables precise intraluminal navigation and localized ablation while providing real‐time optical feedback to support safe and accurate minimally invasive ...

Synthesis, Structure, and Reactivity of a Magnesium(0) Complex with a Polarized Mgδ−─Caδ+ Bond

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Mixing metals: The elusive unsupported two‐center‐two‐electron Mg─Ca bond has been realized by using a combination of β‐diketiminate and amidinate ligands. Due to electronegativity differences (Mg: 1.31, Ca: 1.00) the formal oxidation states are Mg0─CaII.

Enhancing Chemical Stability and Molecular Selectivity of Porous Organic Cages via Core–Shell Polymer Coating

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an interfacial method to fabricate POC@polymer core–shell nanostructures combining cage porosity with polymer robustness. Through chiral self‐assembly and non‐solvent‐induced surface polymerisation, uniform ∼20 nm polymer‐coated particles are produced.

Mechanism of the Photodecomposition of Stable Triarylmethyl Radicals

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Photolysis of luminescent chlorinated trityl radicals was studied with density functional theory and the decomposition products were isolated and characterized. It proceeds by a 5‐electron electrocyclization then a 1,8‐sigmatropic chloride shift, forming non‐emissive, less stable fluorenyl radicals.

Interpretable Machine Learning for Solvent‐Dependent Carrier Mobility in Solution‐Processed Organic Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This work establishes a correlation between solvent properties and the charge transport performance of solution‐processed organic thin films through interpretable machine learning. Strong dispersion interactions (δD), moderate hydrogen bonding (δH), closely matching and compatible with the solute (quadruple thiophene), and a small molar volume (MolVol)

Theoretically Estimated Experimental Adiabatic Electron Affinities of Hydrogen and Cyclohexane Molecules

open access: yesHydrogen
Molecular hydrogen is the basis of hydrogen energy. It is formed and used in many fields of industry, physics, and chemistry. Molecular hydrogen is the main product formed during the gamma radiolysis of liquid cyclohexane.
