Recent Progress on Photoelectrochemical Organic Upgrading: A Review from Direct and Indirect Charge Transfer Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Photoelectrochemical (PEC) organic upgrading at the anode, coupled with hydrogen evolution at the cathode, presents a promising strategy for enhancing solar energy utilization while simultaneously generating value‐added chemicals. An overview of directional photoanodic conversion of organic substrates is presented, distinctively with an eye to the ...

Upconversion Nanoparticles‐Based Multimodal Tumor Therapy Integrating Photoclick‐Induced Aggregation of Gold Nanoparticles and Ceria‐Curcumin Redox Modulation With Inflammation Attenuation Post‐Treatment

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A multifunctional nanoplatform (USiCeCurAu) integrating UCNPs, AuNPs, CeO2, and TK‐CUR‐TPP enables synergistic PDT, CDT, and mPTT. The AuNPs act as pore lockers, UCNPs convert NIR into UV/Vis emission, which triggers AuNPs aggregation, TPP‐CUR‐mediated mitochondria damage for HSP70 suppression, and CeO2‐enabled dual role in ROS generation and ...

Quantum Interference Effect in Saturated Systems: Effect of Anchoring Group Position on Conductance of Bipiperidines and their in‐situ Derived Dithiocarbamates

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study illustrates distinct quantum interference effect in saturated systems as compared to their unsaturated counterparts and the origin of multiple conductance features observed in single molecule conductance experiments of different isomers of bipiperdine and their in‐situ generated dithiocarbamates.

Effect of Molecular Aggregation on Photophysical Properties of Organoboron/Nitrogen‐ and Carbonyl/Nitrogen‐Based Two Multi‐Resonant Emitters

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
By using MD‐QC simulation method, it is proven that molecular aggregation via π–π interactions (in DNK) is the primary cause of shoulder peak enhancement, leading to a 0.16 eV spectral broadening. In contrast, DBN's stable emission stems from suppressed aggregation due to steric hindrance.

Superbasic Anionic Calcium Alkyl Complexes: Templated Twofold Deprotonation of Benzene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A family of molecular anionic calcium alkyl complexes is described. Compared with their neutral analogues, these anionic systems show markedly higher basicity, exemplified by the templated twofold deprotonation of benzene to give an inverse‐crown areneide complex.
