Cyclometallation&—III. Regioselectivity in Pd(II) Cyclometallated complexes

Polyhedron, 1987
Abstract Cyclometallated complexes derived from organic ligands where two initial metallation sites are present have been synthesized. The preferred palladation position is discussed on the basis of electronic and steric effects, and the regioselectivity of the cyclometallation is characterized by means of IR and 1 H NMR spectroscopy.

Cyclometallation of ferrocenylimines III. Regioselectivity in Hg(II) cyclometallated complexes

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1997
Abstract The synthesis and mercuration of a series of Schiff bases 1′-benzoyl-1-[(arylimino)phenylmethyl]ferrocene (aryl: a variety of substituted phenyls) have been studied. In all cases the mercuration occurred at the 2-position of the ferrocene ring. Oxygen → mercury coordinated products were not obtained.

Cyclometallated compounds XII. Syntheses of two new doubly-cyclometallated compounds

Inorganic Chemistry Communications, 1998
Abstract Two isomeric ligands, 2,2′-diphenyl-4,4′-bipyridine (4) and 3,3′-di(2-pyridyl)biphenyl (5), have been synthesised from 2-phenylpyridine and 3-bromoaniline, respectively, by procedures involving nickel(0)-catalysed homocoupling reactions. Both of these new ligands readily undergo double cyclopalladation reactions and have been converted to ...

Pd-catalyzed ortho-/meta-C-H-annulation of biphenyl amines with enynes through non-rollover cyclometallation.

Organic and biomolecular chemistry
Annulations through dual C-H activation represent a powerful tool to selectively assemble multi-cyclic scaffolds. We present herein a palladium-catalyzed ortho-/meta-C-H-annulation of biphenyl amines with 1,6-enynes.

Sequential H/D Exchanges Resulting from Rollover-Cyclometallation during Photoirradiation of Rhodium(III) Complex in Methanol-d4.

Chemistry
We present the photoreaction of newly prepared bis(6,6'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(oxalato)rhodium(III) ([Rh(N^N)2(ox)]+) in CD3OD. Photoirradiation of this complex causes the dissociation of ox, followed by the formation of the unprecedented Rh(III ...

Cyclometallation reactions of a three-coordinate cobalt(i) complex bearing a nonsymmetric N-heterocyclic carbene ligand.

Dalton Transactions, 2019
The reactions of a three-coordinate cobalt(i) complex [(IAdMes)(PPh3)CoCl] (1) (IAdMes = 1-mesityl-3-adamantyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene) with LiCH3, LiCH2SiMe3 and NaCp gave ligand-based C(sp3)-H bond activation products [(IAd'Mes)Co(η6-C6H5PPh2)] (
