First Evidence of CpGV Resistance of Codling Moth in the USA [PDF]

open access: yesInsects, 2022
Codling moth (Cydia pomonella L.) is a very important pest in apple, pear, and walnut orchards worldwide, including the USA. Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV) is used to control codling moth in organic and conventional production.

Type V: A sex-linked crossed resistance to three Cydia pomonella granulovirus isolates, with different levels of dominance

open access: yesBiological Control
The codling moth (Cydia pomonella), is known to be resistant to many (bio)insecticides, including the Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV). Of the multiple isolates available on the European market, two are already known to have selected resistance: Type ...

Differences in the susceptibility of codling moth populations to Cydia pomonella granulovirus in the Czech Republic

open access: yesHorticultural Science, 2011
The Cydia pomonella granulovirus is a very important agent for the biological control of the codling moth, Cydia pomonella, in both organic and integrated apple and pear production.

A Combination of Real-Time PCR and High-Resolution Melting Analysis to Detect and Identify CpGV Genotypes Involved in Type I Resistance [PDF]

open access: yesViruses, 2019
Cydia pomonella granulovirus, in particular CpGV-M isolate, is used as a biological control against the codling moth (CM), Cydia pomonella. As a result of intensive control over the years, codling moth populations have developed resistance against this ...

Gene expression patterns of Cydia pomonella granulovirus in codling moth larvae revealed by RNAseq analysis.

open access: yesVirology, 2021
The Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV) has been used as a biological control agent of codling moth (Cydia pomonella), a severe global pest on pome fruit.

Biocontrol Potential of the New Codling Moth Granulovirus (CpGV) Strains [PDF]

open access: yesMicroorganisms
The use of CpGV strains as the basis for bioinsecticides is an effective and safe way to control Cydia pomonella. The research is aimed at the identification and study of new CpGV strains.

Transcriptome analysis of CpGV in midguts of type II resistant codling moth larvae and identification of contaminant infections by SNP mapping of RNA-Seq data. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Virol
Various isolates of the Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV) are used as insect pest control agents against codling moth (CM, Cydia pomonella L.), a predominant pest in apple orchards. Three different types (I–III) of dominantly inherited field resistance

The complete sequence of the Cydia pomonella granulovirus genome.

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 2001
The nucleotide sequence of the DNA genome of Cydia pomonella granulovirus (CpGV) was determined and analysed. The genome is composed of 123500 bp and has a G+C content of 45·2%. It contains 143 ORFs of 150 nucleotides or more that show minimal overlap.
