Wideband simple cylindrical dielectric resonator antennas

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2005
Bandwidths of the coaxial fed and aperture coupled cylindrical dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) with broadside radiation patterns are enhanced by exciting the HEM/sub 11/spl Delta ...

Wideband Cylindrical and Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2006
An investigation is conducted on increasing the bandwidth of dielectric resonator antennas by changing the radius-to-height and length-to-height ratios for cylindrical and rectangular geometries, respectively.

Cylindrical Anisotropic Dielectric Resonator Antenna With Improved Gain

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2017
Uniaxial anisotropic material obtained by parallel layers of two different dielectrics is used to obtain a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA). As a consequence of the anisotropy, the boresight gain of the antenna is increased. The effect of the height-to-radius ratio on the boresight gain variation is also investigated. It is shown that by

Split Ring Resonator Loaded Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna

2018 11th UK-Europe-China Workshop on Millimeter Waves and Terahertz Technologies (UCMMT), 2018
We present a novel technique for the miniaturization of dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) based on the magneto-dielectric concept. This is achieved by artificially inducing a strong magnetic resonance inside the DRA with a split ring resonator. The $\text{HE}_{11\delta}$ mode of the cylindrical DRA is excited via the slot under the DRA.
