Complex WGM frequencies of gyroelectric cylindrical resonators
Asymptotic closed‐form expressions for calculating complex transverse electric (TE)/transverse magnetic (TM) whispering gallery mode (WGM) frequencies in homogeneous gyroelectric circular cylindrical resonators of infinite length are derived. In addition,

Rotations of Cylindrical Dielectric Resonators in a Rectangular Waveguide
The coupling coefficients of cylindrical dielectric resonators with a regular rectangular waveguide under the condition their axes rotation are calculated. The dependences of the coupling coefficients on the angles of rotation and transverse coordinates

Computing resonant modes of circular cylindrical resonators by vertical mode expansions [PDF]
Open subwavelength cylindrical resonators of finite height are widely used in various photonics applications. Circular cylindrical resonators are particularly important in nanophotonics, since they are relatively easy to fabricate and can be designed to exhibit different resonance effects.

The properties of an improved class of lasers is presented. In one configuration of these lasers the radiation propagates radially within the amplifying medium, resulting in high fields and symmetric illumination at the resonator axis. Thus there is a strong focusing of energy at the axis of the resonator.

Increasing the Insertion Loss of Sonic Crystal Noise Barriers with Helmholtz Resonators
Helmholtz resonators (HRs) have the advantage of extending and improving their insulating capacity when used as scatterers in noise barriers made of periodic media, such as sonic crystals (SCs).

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Vortex modes in acoustofluidic cylindrical resonators
This paper presents a theoretical investigation of vortex modes in acoustofluidic cylindrical resonators with rigid boundaries and viscous fluids. By solving the Helmholtz equation for linear pressure, incorporating boundary conditions that account for no-slip surfaces and vortex and non-vortex excitation at the base, we analyse both single- and dual ...
