Tuning the Length of Filomicelles Prepared Via Templated Polymerization‐Induced Self‐Assembly

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
High‐aspect‐ratio polymeric micelles are attractive yet notoriously difficult to control in length. We reveal a counterintuitive and powerful solution: in supramolecularly templated PISA, adding non‐sticker polymer unexpectedly elongates the micelles, while post‐assembly sonication enables precise shortening with reduced dispersity.

Cooperative Solvent‐Thermal Interactions Enable Multi‐Material Nanotransfer Printing for Multi‐Dimensional Molecular Profiling

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Cooperative solvent‐thermal nanotransfer printing (ST‐nTP) exploits the synergistic interplay between solvent‐induced polymer swelling and thermal‐pressure‐driven densification to achieve selective material transfer, enabling scalable single‐step fabrication of 3D hierarchical multi‐material nanoarchitectures with sub‐20 nm resolution for tunable ...

On the Causes and Effects of Roller Skewing in Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Tribology Transactions, 1998
Cylindrical roller bearings which support thrust and/or moment loading in addition to predominant radial loading have flanges on both the inner and outer rings to accommodate the thrust loading carried by the rollers. The roller thrust loading causes roller tilting and friction moments about the rotating axis perpendicular to both the bearing and ...
