Cadmium potentiates toxicity of cypermethrin in zebrafish

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, 2015
Abstract Co-occurrence of pesticides such as synthetic pyrethroids and metals in aquatic ecosystems raises concerns over their combined ecological effects. Cypermethrin, 1 of the top 5 synthetic pyrethroids in use, has been extensively detected in surface water.

Persistence of deltamethrin and cypermethrin on wheat and sweetclover

Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 1985
Residues of cypermethrin and deltamethrin in wheat herbage and grain and deltamethrin in sweetclover herbage were determined. Cypermethrin was applied at 28 g/ha to wheat and the residues on the herbage declined exponentially from 3.74 ppm immediately after spraying to 0.20 ppm 27 days after spraying. No cypermethrin residues were detected in the grain.

[Antiandrogenic effects of cypermethrin and beta-cypermethrin].

Zhonghua lao dong wei sheng zhi ye bing za zhi = Zhonghua laodong weisheng zhiyebing zazhi = Chinese journal of industrial hygiene and occupational diseases, 2012
To investigate the antiandrogenic activities of cypermethrin and beta-cypermethrin in vitro and in vivo.Transcriptional activation assay based on MDA-kb2 cell was used to determine the antiandrogenic effect of cypermethrin and beta-cypermethrin in vitro.

Immunotoxicological Investigation of the Effects of a Pesticide; Cypermethrin

1985
The effects of a synthetic pyrethroid pesticide cypermethrin on the immune system were studied. The effect of a daily oral administration of 1/40, 1/20 and 1/10 of LD50 was studied in rabbits for its influence on the humoral immune response after vaccination with Salmonella typhi, as well as on cell-mediated immunity.

ACUTE TOXICITY OF CYPERMETHRIN AND ALPHA-CYPERMETHRIN-BASED INSECTICIDES ON CYPRINID FISH

Scientific Papers Journal VETERINARY SERIES
This study investigates the acute toxicity of cypermethrin and alpha-cypermethrin-based insecticides on cyprinid fish species. A 96-hour static non-renewal bioassay was conducted in the Ecotoxicology Laboratory of R.D.I.P.P. Bucharest. Juveniles of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio) were exposed to a range of ...

The effectiveness of cypermethrin in the control of summer mastitis

British Veterinary Journal, 1987
Flies have been incriminated as vectors of summer mastitis. The efficacy of cypermethrin, formulated as a spray, in the control of the disease was investigated in two experiments. In this study, 1033 dry cows and 454 heifers in 16 herds were sprayed on two or four occasions with insecticide, while 836 dry cows and 432 heifers in 24 herds acted as ...

Isomer Selectivity in Aquatic Toxicity and Biodegradation of Cypermethrin

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2004
Synthetic pyrethroids (SPs) are widely used in both agricultural and urban regions for insect control. Unlike many other pesticides, SPs are chiral compounds consisting of stereoisomers. However, occurrence of isomer selectivity in environmental processes is poorly understood for SPs.

Stereoselective Degradation Kinetics of Theta-Cypermethrin in Rats

Environmental Science & Technology, 2006
The enantioselective degradation and chiral conversion of theta-cypermethrin (TCYM) in rats have been studied via intravenous (i.v.) injection. The degradation kinetics and the enantiomer fraction (EF) were determined by means of normal-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detection (DAD) and a cellulosetris-(3,5 ...

Effect of Processing on Dislodging of Cypermethrin Residues on Brinjal

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 2010
Brinjal fruits were sprayed with recommended dose (0.001%) of cypermethrin. Effects of processing viz. washing, cooking in water, cooking in oil, microwave cooking, and grilling was studied to dislodge cypermethrin residues on brinjal. Cypermethrin residues remaining in the control and processed samples were analyzed by gas chromatography equipped with

Carcinogenic and cocarcinogenic potential of cypermethrin on mouse skin

Cancer Letters, 2002
Cypermethrin (CYM), a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide, is used widely because of its high bio-efficacy and low mammalian toxicity. In the present set of investigations, CYM has been evaluated for it's carcinogenic and co-carcinogenic (tumour initiating and tumour promoting) potential in mouse skin model of carcinogenesis. The results revealed that CYM
