Determination of alpha-Cypermethrin from Soil by Using HPTLC

open access: yes, 2012
alpha-Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used to control insects. In soil, alpha-cypermethrin biodegrades relatively slowly under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions.

The 2024 European Union report on pesticide residues in food

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Under European Union legislation (Article 32, Regulation (EC) No 396/2005), the European Food Safety Authority publishes an annual report assessing pesticide residue levels in food. In 2024, 9842 samples were analysed as part of the EU‐coordinated multiannual control programme subset, of which 1.2% were found to be non‐compliant.

Insecticide@Silica Nanocontainers with High Cypermethrin Load and Improved Photostability

open access: yesChemNanoMat, Volume 12, Issue 4, April 2026.
Cypermethrin@Octylsilicate core@shell nanocontainers (total diameter: 34 nm, diameter of cypermethrin core: 15 nm) exhibit high colloidal stability in water and high photochemical stability of the insecticide, allowing to reduce reapplication cycles and, thus, time and costs of insecticide application.

Pesticide prioritization based on risk and model diet proposals for assessing cumulative exposure to pesticide residues in the Brazilian population through food consumption

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 4, Page 3853-3873, April 2026.
A risk classification of registered pesticides in Brazil was conducted, and the contribution of food to cumulative pesticide exposure was evaluated. Model diets were proposed, based on Brazilian consumption patterns. Abstract BACKGROUND Pesticide residue exposure assessments can be carried out during both the pre‐regulation and post‐regulation phases ...

A rapid and cost effective ultrasonic solvent extraction method for determination of λ-cyhalothrin and cypermethrin residues in soil

open access: yes, 2015
An effective, simple, and cost effective ultrasonic solvent extraction procedure was developed for the determination of λ-cyhalothrin and cypermethrin residues in soil by gas chromatography with electron capture detector (GC-ECD).
