N‐Acetylcysteine Attenuates Mancozeb‐Induced Hepatorenal Injury by Modulating Oxidative Stress, Inflammatory Signaling, and Apoptotic Pathways in Rats

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 6, June 2026.
N‐acetylcysteine (NAC) attenuated mancozeb‐induced hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity in rats by reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis. NAC restored antioxidant balance and suppressed inflammatory and apoptotic signaling pathways, suggesting a protective role against mancozeb‐related hepatorenal injury. ABSTRACT Mancozeb (MNZ), a widely

DAMP Laden Extracellular Vesicles From the Airways of Patients With Severe SARS‐CoV‐2 Respiratory Infection Compromise Inflammation and Cellular Metabolism

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Extracellular vesicles from severe COVID‐19 airways carry depleted miRNAs and elevated DAMPs, reprogramming monocytes toward senescence, impaired metabolism, and predominantly reduced cytokine responses. However, they drive excess IL‐8 production, amplifying neutrophil recruitment and dysfunctional inflammation across the respiratory tract.

Evaluation of Salt‐Tolerant Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba L.) Genotypes Based on Physiological, Biochemical, and Yield‐Related Traits

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The 15 guar genotypes were exposed to different concentrations of salt (0, 10, and 15 dS m−1 NaCl) in a factorial experiment (RCBD, r = 3) and different morpho‐physiological, physiological, growth, and yield characteristics were assessed. The lowest seed gum (21.11%), carbohydrate (23.59%), protein content (24.20%), fat (2.21%), fiber (9.38%),

Genomic and Transcriptomic Insights Into Salinity Tolerance in Dry Pea

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Salinity is a major crop production constraint in dry pea (Pisum sativum L.), making the development of salt‐tolerant varieties essential to improve crop productivity and land‐use efficiency. The genetic mechanisms of salt tolerance in dry pea are largely unknown, and research on salt‐tolerant genes is limited.

Fatty Acid Metabolism in Health and Cancer: From Fundamental Mechanisms to Therapeutic Application

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
The modulation of the TME by fatty acid metabolism primarily occurs through four key pathways: inflammation regulation, signal transduction, translation to TME, and oxidative stress. ABSTRACT Fatty acid metabolism (FAM) plays a vital role in maintaining health by supporting energy production, cellular structure, and signaling processes.
