Placental Expression and Serum Concentrations of Cytokeratin 19 in Preeclampsia

Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2000
To evaluate cytokeratin 19 as a serum marker of preeclampsia.Serum cytokeratin 19 levels were measured in 46 women with preeclampsia and 46 controls matched for gestational age and parity, using an immunoradiometric assay. Cytokeratin 19 was evaluated immunohistochemically in placental specimens from 28 healthy pregnant women and 24 women with ...

Cytokeratin 19 Fragment in Patients With Nonmalignant Respiratory Diseasesa

Chest, 2003
Cytokeratin 19 fragment (CYFRA) is a specific tumor marker in patients with lung cancer; however, it has been reported that serum CYFRA levels are elevated in some patients with nonmalignant respiratory diseases such as interstitial pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and collagen disease-associated pulmonary fibrosis (CDPF). To investigate the serum CYFRA levels

Serum Levels of Cytokeratin 19 Fragments in Cervical Cancer

Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 2010
Serum levels of a cytokeratin 19 fragment, Cyfra 21–1, were measured using an immunoradiometric assay in 33 women before initial treatment and in 8 women with recurrent tumor. The serum level of Cyfra 21–1 was significantly increased in women with tumors of advanced stage (FIGO) and those with recurrence.

Overexpression of aldolase A and cytokeratin 19 in ovine pulmonary adenocarcinoma

Polish Journal of Veterinary Sciences, 2012
Abstract Ovine pulmonary adenocarcinoma (OPA) is a transmissible lung cancer of sheep caused by jaagsiekte sheep retrovirus (JSRV). In the present study the protein profiles of five neoplastic and three non-neoplastic sheep lung tissues were examined for the identification of proteins overexpressed in ovine pulmonary adenocarcinoma.

Immunohistochemical expression of cytokeratin 15, cytokeratin 19, follistatin, and Bmi‐1 in basal cell carcinoma

International Journal of Dermatology, 2015
AbstractBackgroundsBasal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common cutaneous neoplasm. Despite numerous previous studies, the origin of BCC is still controversial.ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to evaluate whether BCC arises from the hair follicle rather than the epidermal basal cell.MethodsThe labeling index and differences of expression of the ...

High-molecular-weight cytokeratin and cytokeratin-19 in the diagnosis of thyroid tumors.

Modern pathology : an official journal of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Inc, 1994
The pathologic diagnosis of thyroid tumors is often difficult and subjective. Immunohistochemical markers including high molecular weight cytokeratin (HMW-CK), cytokeratin-19 (CK-19) and epithelial membrane antigen have been suggested to be helpful in the distinction of various types of thyroid neoplasia.

Expression of Cytokeratin No. 19 Polypeptide in Genital Papillomavirus Lesions

Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 2010
A series of 23 punch biopsies proved to contain human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16 and with established clinical course (including HPV-NCIN, HPV-CIN I, and HPV-CIN II lesion), and 18 additional biopsies of HPV 6-, 11-, 16- or 18-induced genital lesions were analyzed immunohistochemically for expression of cytokeratin No. 19 polypeptide.

Evaluation of cytokeratin-19 & cytokeratin-20 and interleukin-6 in Egyptian bladder cancer patients

Clinical Biochemistry, 2002
This study was designed to detect the expression of CK-19 and CK-20 in tissue specimens and IL-6 in the sera (as a noninvasive maneuver) of bladder cancer patients. Results were correlated with the clinico-pathologic parameters, Bilharziasis and the occurrence of relapse of the carcinoma among Egyptian bladder cancer patients.Subjects of this study ...

An electrochemical DNA sensor for detection of cytokeratin 19

Analytical Methods, 2013
A novel assay for the voltammetric detection of DNA sequences relating to cytokeratin 19 by using Hoechst 33258 as the hybridization indicator was reported. The biosensor was developed by using thiolated ssDNA as the capture probe for hybridization with CK19 gene on a gold electrode.
