Near‐infrared fluorescence imaging with indocyanine green to identify parathyroid glands in two dogs undergoing bilateral modified intracapsular thyroidectomy

Abstract This case report describes one dog that underwent bilateral thyroidectomy and another that underwent unilateral thyroidectomy using near‐infrared fluorescence imaging with indocyanine green to visualise the external parathyroid glands to aid in their preservation.

Fibrosarcoma on the leg of an adult rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta)

Abstract This case describes a fibrosarcoma on the left upper leg of an adult female rhesus macaque. The patient was initially presented with a defined swelling at the caudolateral side of the upper leg. Medially from the growth, a swollen circular wound had formed with a fistula leading in the direction of the mass.

Diagnosis and treatment of an omental bursa abscess in a 4‐month‐old dog

Abstract A 4‐month‐old, 20.5 kg, entire, male Dobermann was presented to a primary care veterinary centre with acute‐onset weakness, pyrexia and abdominal pain. Referral was sought after a cranial abdominal mass and abdominal effusion were found while undergoing exploratory coeliotomy for a suspected enteric foreign body.
