Learning trauma surgery through cytoreductive surgery
Injury, 2023Regarding war surgery (WS), the initial and continuing education of French military gastrointestinal surgeons (FMGIS) is considered flawed and inappropriate. Cytoreductive Surgery for Melanoma
Surgical Oncology Clinics of North America, 2007Cytoreductive surgery represents a therapeutic attempt to improve patient outcomes by reducing overall tumor burden to render postsurgical therapy effective or at least increase its effectiveness. Cytoreductive surgery for hepatocellular carcinoma
Surgical Oncology, 1994A prospective study was conducted on 26 patients for cytoreductive surgery of inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma. These patients underwent cytoreduction with liver resection, cryosurgery, microwave tissue coagulation and/or absolute alcohol injection. In-hospital mortality was 7.7%. The symptomatic relief and quality of survival were excellent.
