Axion‐Like Interactions and CFT in Topological Matter, Anomaly Sum Rules and the Faraday Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 4, Issue 7, July 2025.
This review investigates the connection between chiral anomalies and their manifestation in topological materials, using both perturbative methods based on ordinary quantum field theory and conformal field theory (CFT). It emphasizes the role of CFT in momentum space for parity‐odd correlation functions, and their reconstruction by the inclusion of a ...

Applications of Inverse Operators to a Fractional Partial Integro-Differential Equation and Several Well-Known Differential Equations

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper mainly consists of two parts: (i) We study the uniqueness, existence, and stability of a new fractional nonlinear partial integro-differential equation in Rn with three-point conditions and variable coefficients in a Banach space using inverse

Les trois dimensions de l'espace et les quatre dimensions
de l'espace-temps
[PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The present work deals with the problem of dimensionality of space, time and space-time, from the points of view of mathematics, physics and epistemology in historical perspective, that show it in its relationships -general as well as particular- with ...

“M. Leibnits étoit un grand homme”: The role of argument from epistemic authority in Du Châtelet's dispute with Mairan

open access: yesThe Southern Journal of Philosophy, Volume 63, Issue 2, Page 211-223, June 2025.
Abstract In my article, I propose to analyze the Du Châtelet‐Mairan dispute from the perspective of the modern theory of argumentation, focusing on the study of arguments from authority. I study separately the opinions of Du Châtelet and Mairan on the correct use of the argument from authority (Is the opponent using the argument correctly?

ALEMBERT (Jean Le Rond d') 1717-1783 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984

A Strong Approximation in L2 for the Solutions of the Maxwell System With Highly Oscillating Periodic Coefficients

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 48, Issue 8, Page 9207-9224, 30 May 2025.
ABSTRACT We consider a Maxwell system on ℝ3$$ {\mathbb{R}}^3 $$ with highly oscillating periodic coefficients. It is known that the solutions converge in the weak‐ ∗$$ \ast $$ topology of L∞(0,T;L2(ℝ3))$$ {L}^{\infty}\left(0,T;\kern0.3em {L}^2\left({\mathbb{R}}^3\right)\right) $$ to the solution of a similar problem with constant coefficients given as ...

B-Inflation

open access: yes, 2005
We propose a novel model of inflation based on a large class of covariant effective actions containing only the second derivatives of a scalar field. The initial conditions leading to the inflationary solutions in this model are rather generic.

Variational approach to multimode nonlinear optical fibers

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 805-813, April 2025.
Abstract We analyze the spatiotemporal solitary waves of a graded‐index multimode optical fiber with a parabolic transverse index profile. Using the nonpolynomial Schrödinger equation approach, we derive an effective one‐dimensional Lagrangian associated with the Laguerre–Gauss modes with a generic radial mode number p and azimuthal index m.
