Finite Element Analysis for Li Batteries at the Mesoscale

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Finite element analysis (FEA), through multi‐physics coupling, has been widely employed to calculate mesoscale structures in LIBs that exhibit inherent randomness and disorder (Figure a). It has been extensively applied to the investigation of critical phenomena such as Li dendrite evolution, Li+ concentration gradients, SEI film growth, particle ...

High‐Strength, Fluorescent, Triboelectric Cellulose Hydrogel‐Derived Plastics Through Molecular Network Engineering for Energy Harvesting and Motion Sensing

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Multifunctional cellulose hydrogel‐derived plastics (FCBPs) are fabricated via a novel molecular network engineering strategy involving epoxy cross‐linking, solvent exchange, and hot‐pressing techniques. The resulting materials exhibit high mechanical strength, excellent thermal/solvent resistance, stable fluorescence, complete biodegradability, and ...

N‐terminal pro‐brain natriuretic peptide and cardiorenal outcome in patients with anaemia in chronic kidney disease

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 848-858, April 2025.
Abstract Aims Blood levels of N‐terminal pro‐brain natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP) may be modified by low renal clearance and anaemia. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of the blood NT‐proBNP level on cardiovascular and renal outcomes in patients with these two manifestations.

Self‐Supported SiC@Graphene Porous Array Electrodes for Ultrastable Supercapacitors

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
Self‐supported SiC–graphene porous array electrodes are fabricated through a novel steam‐assisted etching and in situ pyrolysis strategy. They deliver a high energy density of 4.9 μWh cm−2 at 150°C with 89.55% capacitance retention over 10,000 cycles, presenting a new approach for high‐temperature supercapacitors.

Predicting post‐surgical visuospatial memory performance in people with drug‐resistant epilepsy

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Although verbal memory decline has been consistently reported following surgery for temporal lobe epilepsy, especially when surgery is performed in the language‐dominant hemisphere and targets mesial temporal structures, the relation between the location and the hemisphere of surgery on visuospatial memory, as well as the factors ...
