D-branes in λ-deformations [PDF]
We show that the geometric interpretation of D-branes in WZW models as twisted conjugacy classes persists in the λ-deformed theory. We obtain such configurations by demanding that a monodromy matrix constructed from the Lax connection of the λ-deformed ...

D-Branes in Para-Hermitian Geometries
We introduce T-duality invariant versions of D-branes in doubled geometry using a global covariant framework based on para-Hermitian geometry and metric algebroids.

Cosmological creation of D-branes and anti-D-branes [PDF]
We argue that the early universe may be described by an initial state of space-filling branes and anti-branes. At high temperature this system is stable. At low temperature tachyons appear and lead to a phase transition, dynamics, and the creation of D-branes. These branes are cosmologically produced in a generic fashion by the Kibble mechanism.

A novel solution to the gravitino problem
In a general phenomenological model with local supersymmetry, the amount of massive gravitinos produced in early universe tends to violate the known dark matter density bound by many orders of magnitude.

We study the dynamics of ultrarelativistic D-branes. The dominant phenomenon is bremsstrahlung: mild acceleration induced by closed string interactions triggers extremely rapid energy loss through radiation of massless closed strings. After characterizing bremsstrahlung from a general k-dimensional extended object in a D-dimensional spacetime, we ...

The shape of D-branes is of fundamental interest in string theory. We find that generically D-branes in trivial spacetime can form a conic shape under external uniform forces. Surprisingly, the apex angle is found to be unique, once the spatial dimensions of the cone is given. In particular it is universal irrespective of the external forces.

We study D-branes on the quintic CY by combining results from several directions: general results on holomorphic curves and vector bundles, stringy geometry and mirror symmetry, and the boundary states in Gepner models recently constructed by Recknagel and Schomerus, to begin sketching a picture of D-branes in the stringy regime.
