Magnetically-enhanced open string pair production

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We consider the stringy interaction between two parallel stacks of D3 branes placed at a separation. Each stack of D3 branes in a similar fashion carry an electric flux and a magnetic flux with the two sharing no common field strength index.

Anomalous U(1) gauge bosons as light dark matter in string theory

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
Present experiments are sensitive to very weakly coupled extra gauge symmetries which motivates further investigation of their appearance in string theory compactifications and subsequent properties.

Dynamical Cobordism Conjecture: solutions for end-of-the-world branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We analyze finite size solutions for a generalized D-dimensional Dudas-Mourad (DM) model featuring dynamical cobordism with neutral and charged end-of-the-world (ETW) defect branes.

The realization of higher-dimensional breaking mechanism

open access: yesPracì Mìžnarodnogo Geometričnogo Centru, 2014
We study D-branes on Calabi-Yau threefolds, which are realized through the blowing up the singularity of orbifold. This D-branes are represented as sheaves, which can be stable or unstable, what is connected with the transition in the Teichmüller space ...

Geometry of orientifold vacua and supersymmetry breaking

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Starting from a peculiar orientifold projection proposed long ago by Angelantonj and Cardella, we elaborate on a novel perturbative scenario that involves only D-branes, together with the two types of orientifold planes O ± and anti-orientifold planes O ¯

Non-relativistic D-brane from T-duality along null direction

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We construct new type of non-relativistic D-branes which are defined with the help of T-duality along null direction. We find Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulation of these D-branes and study their properties under T-duality transformations.

Open F-branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We include in F-theory, through open Type I F-theory branes (F-branes), string theories with N = 1 supersymmetry, both Type I and heterotic. Type I branes are distinguished from Type II by worldvolume parity projection.

D-branes and K-theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 1998
By exploiting recent arguments about stable nonsupersymmetric D-brane states, we argue that D-brane charge takes values in the K-theory of spacetime, as has been suspected before. In the process, we gain a new understanding of some novel objects proposed recently - such as the Type I zerobrane - and we describe some new objects - such as a -1-brane in ...

Noncommutative gauge theories on D-branes in non-geometric backgrounds

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We investigate the noncommutative gauge theories arising on the worldvolumes of D-branes in non-geometric backgrounds obtained by T-duality from twisted tori.

Multiverse in Karch-Randall Braneworld

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
In this paper, we propose a model based on wedge holography that can describe the multiverse. In wedge holography, we consider two gravitating baths, one of which has strong gravity and the other one has weak gravity.
