The realization of higher-dimensional breaking mechanism

open access: yesPracì Mìžnarodnogo Geometričnogo Centru, 2014
We study D-branes on Calabi-Yau threefolds, which are realized through the blowing up the singularity of orbifold. This D-branes are represented as sheaves, which can be stable or unstable, what is connected with the transition in the Teichmüller space ...

Open F-branes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We include in F-theory, through open Type I F-theory branes (F-branes), string theories with N = 1 supersymmetry, both Type I and heterotic. Type I branes are distinguished from Type II by worldvolume parity projection.

Non-relativistic D-brane from T-duality along null direction

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We construct new type of non-relativistic D-branes which are defined with the help of T-duality along null direction. We find Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulation of these D-branes and study their properties under T-duality transformations.

D-branes on K3-fibrations [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2000
B-type D-branes are constructed on two different K3-fibrations over IP_1 using boundary conformal field theory at the rational Gepner points of these models. The microscopic CFT charges are compared with the Ramond charges of D-branes wrapped on holomorphic cycles of the corresponding Calabi-Yau manifold.

Level-rank duality of untwisted and twisted D-branes of the so(N)_K WZW model

open access: yes, 2007
We analyze the level-rank duality of untwisted and epsilon-twisted D-branes of the so(N)_K WZW model. Untwisted D-branes of so(N)_K are characterized by integrable tensor and spinor representations of so(N)_K.

D-branes in a topologically nontrivial B-field [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We study global worldsheet anomalies for open strings ending on several coincident D-branes in the presence of a B-field. We show that cancellation of anomalies is made possible by a correlation between the t'Hooft magnetic flux on the D-branes and the ...

Noncommutative gauge theories on D-branes in non-geometric backgrounds

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We investigate the noncommutative gauge theories arising on the worldvolumes of D-branes in non-geometric backgrounds obtained by T-duality from twisted tori.

When D-branes break

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2006
We analyze the possible configurations of D-branes breaking on other D-branes. We describe these configurations in the context of a brane-antibrane effective theory in two ways. First as a tachyon configuration representing a non-trivial bundle over the sphere surrounding the end of the brane a la Polchinski, and second in terms of tachyon solitons ...

Noncommutative D-brane from Covariant AdS Superstring

open access: yes, 2006
We explore noncommutative D-branes in the AdS_5xS^5 background from the viewpoint of \kappa-invariance of a covariant open string action in the Green-Schwarz formulation.
