A New Fixed Axis-Invariant Based Calibration Approach to Improve Absolute Positioning Accuracy of Manipulators

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper studies the calibration of industrial robots. Aiming at the problems of cumbersome industrial robot modeling and poor calibration effects, this paper proposes a new calibration method for determining the DH frame and DH parameters of ...

Heterogeneity in the Global Practice of Central Nervous System Staging in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...

A computational model of the referential semantics of projective prepositions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we present a framework for interpreting locative expressions containing the prepositions in front of and behind. These prepositions have different semantics in the viewer-centred and intrinsic frames of reference (Vandeloise, 1991).

The Hysteresis Performance and Restoring Force Model for Corroded Reinforced Concrete Frame Columns

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2016
A numerical simulation of the hysteresis performance of corroded reinforced concrete (RC) frame columns was conducted. Moreover, the results obtained were compared with experimental data.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

D-wave effects in diffractive electroproduction of heavy quarkonia from the photon-like $$V\rightarrow Q{\bar{Q}}$$ V→QQ¯ transition

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We analyse the validity of a commonly used identification between structures of the virtual photon $$\gamma ^*\rightarrow Q\bar{Q}$$ γ∗→QQ¯ and vector meson $$V\rightarrow Q{\bar{Q}}$$ V→QQ¯ transitions.

MV6D: Multi-View 6D Pose Estimation on RGB-D Frames Using a Deep Point-wise Voting Network

open access: yes2022 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), 2022
Estimating 6D poses of objects is an essential computer vision task. However, most conventional approaches rely on camera data from a single perspective and therefore suffer from occlusions. We overcome this issue with our novel multi-view 6D pose estimation method called MV6D which accurately predicts the 6D poses of all objects in a cluttered scene ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
