Continuous d-optimal designs for experiments with mixture and process variables
Series Statistics, 1983Continuous first, second and third order designs for experiments with mixture and process variables are proposed. Their points of support are obtained by combining continuous D-optimal designs points for simplex and cuboidal factor spaces. Optimal probability measures are obtained.

D-optimal experimental designs for a mixture of Adair models
Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems, 2016Abstract In a Pharmacokinetic reaction a ligand may be bound to different types of macro-molecules, each with different number of binding sites. They are frequently involved in certain diseases diagnostics. Adair equation is used very often to model the reactions of biological macro-molecules with a ligand.

Using a Genetic Algorithm to Generate D‐optimal Designs for Mixture Experiments
Quality and Reliability Engineering International, 2012We propose and develop a genetic algorithm (GA) for generating D‐optimal designs where the experimental region is an irregularly shaped polyhedral region. Our approach does not require selection of points from a user‐defined candidate set of mixtures and allows movement through a continuous region that includes highly constrained mixture regions.

Recent Advances in Drug Delivery and Formulation, 2023
Background: Darifenacin hydrobromide, a BCS Class II drug, is poorly bioavailable due to extensive first-pass metabolism. The present study is an attempt to investigate an alternative route of drug delivery by developing a nanometric microemulsion-based transdermal gel for the management of an overactive bladder.

A- and D-optimal designs for a log contrast model for experiments with mixtures
Journal of Applied Statistics, 2001A- and D-optimal designs are investigated for a log contrast model suggested by Aitchison & Bacon-Shone for experiments with mixtures. It is proved that when the number of mixture components q is an even integer, A- and D-optimal designs are identical; and when q is an odd integer, A- and D-optimal designs are different, but they share some common ...
