Efficient conversion of allitol to d-psicose by Bacillus pallidus Y25
Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, 2007An efficient method for conversion of allitol to D-psicose was achieved by a resting cell reaction of Bacillus pallidus Y25 for the first time. Notably, it was possible to produce D-allose and D-altrose from allitol directly via D-psicose by prolonging the reaction time. This method was applied for the preparation of D-psicose using the extract of Itea

Chitosan Productivity Enhancement in Rhizopus oryzae YPF-61A by D-Psicose
Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, 2003The effect of the rare sugar D-psicose on chitosan production by Rhizopus oryzae was studied. The fungus was not able to utilize D-psicose as a sole source of carbon, either for germination of the spores or for growth of the vegetative cells. In a medium containing a low amount of D-glucose, however, D-psicose supplementation between 5 and 12 g/l ...

Crystal data of branched-chain derivatives of D-psicose
Journal of Applied Crystallography, 1981Crystal data are reported for six derivatives of 1,2-O-isopropylidene-3-C-(pyridin-2-yl)-β-D-psicopyranose, C14H19NO6, previously studied in solution by NMR spectroscopy. Molecules that differ only by the replacement of H by CH3 on one non-ring oxygen atom, converting an alcohol to an ether molecule, show no similarity in cell dimensions, and have ...

[Research progress of D-psicose: function and its biosynthesis].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2019As the morbidity of metabolic syndrome like obesity and diabetes increases rapidly worldwide, the issue of nutrition (functional food) and health has drawn more attention. D-psicose, a rare natural ketohexose, has become a hot topic in functional food and health-care field because of its hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic function with good sweetness. This
