On Rad-D12 Modules [PDF]

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2013
Let M be a right R-module. We call M Rad-D12, if for every sub- module N of M, there exist a direct summand K of M and an epimor- phism α : K → M/N such that Kererα ⊆ Rad(K). We show that a direct summand of a Rad-D12 module need not be a Rad-D12 module.

Syntheses of Stable Isotope Labeled D12-Malachite Green

open access: yesJournal of Isotopes, 2014
The efficient synthesis of stable isotope labeled D12-Malachite Green with CD3OD as the precursor by methylation, condensation and oxidation was presented. The yields of D12-Malachite Green was 50.1 % based on CD3OD consumed.

LL-37 and Double-Stranded RNA Synergistically Upregulate Bronchial Epithelial TLR3 Involving Enhanced Import of Double-Stranded RNA and Downstream TLR3 Signaling

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2022
The human host defense peptide LL-37 influences double-stranded RNA signaling, but this process is not well understood. Here, we investigate synergistic actions of LL-37 and synthetic double-stranded RNA (poly I:C) on toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3 ...

NG2/CSPG4, CD146/MCAM and VAP1/AOC3 are regulated by myocardin-related transcription factors in smooth muscle cells

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The present work addressed the hypothesis that NG2/CSPG4, CD146/MCAM, and VAP1/AOC3 are target genes of myocardin-related transcription factors (MRTFs: myocardin/MYOCD, MRTF-A/MKL1, MRTF-B/MKL2) and serum response factor (SRF).

Should We Be Screening for Ischaemic Heart Disease Earlier in Childhood?

open access: yesChildren, 2022
Ischaemic heart disease is the most common cause of death in males and the second in the female gender. Yet we often only focus on identification and treatment of this foremost cause of death in adulthood.

Reliability and responsiveness of the D12 and validity of its scores as a measure of dyspnoea severity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis-related interstitial lung disease

open access: yesBMJ Open Respiratory Research, 2023
Background Interstitial lung disease due to rheumatoid arthritis (RA-ILD) affects a substantial minority of patients with RA, inducing life-altering symptoms, impairing quality of life (QOL) and forcing patients to confront the potential for shortened ...

AIF1+CSF1R+ MSCs, induced by TNF‐α, act to generate an inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Mesenchymal stem cells subset, educated by TNF‐α, are involved to generate inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis Abstract Background and Aims Increasing evidence suggests that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) home to injured local tissues and the tumor microenvironment in the liver.

The antimicrobial peptide LL-37 triggers release of apoptosis-inducing factor and shows direct effects on mitochondria

open access: yesBiochemistry and Biophysics Reports, 2022
The human antimicrobial peptide LL-37 permeabilizes the plasma membrane of host cells, but LL-37-induced direct effects on mitochondrial membrane permeability and function has not been reported.

Lyophilized alginate-based microspheres containing Lactobacillus fermentum D12, an exopolysaccharides producer, contribute to the strain’s functionality in vitro

open access: yesMicrobial Cell Factories, 2021
Lactobacillus (Limosilactobacillus) fermentum D12 is an exopolysaccharide (EPS) producing strain whose genome contains a putative eps operon. Whole-genome analysis of D12 was performed to disclose the essential genes correlated with activation of ...
