Fatty-acid uptake in prostate cancer cells using dynamic microfluidic raman technology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
It is known that intake of dietary fatty acid (FA) is strongly correlated with prostate cancer progression but is highly dependent on the type of FAs. High levels of palmitic acid (PA) or arachidonic acid (AA) can stimulate the progression of cancer.

Derivations and Centroids of Four Dimensional Associative Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we focus on derivations and centroids of four dimensional associative algebras. Using an existing classification result of low dimensional associative algebras, we describe the derivations and centroids of four dimensional associative ...

Angular momentum at null infinity in five dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, using the Bondi coordinates, we discuss the angular momentum at null infinity in five dimensions and address the Poincare covariance of the Bondi mass and angular momentum.

The algebro-geometric study of range maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Localizing a radiant source is a widespread problem to many scientific and technological research areas. E.g. localization based on range measurements stays at the core of technologies like radar, sonar and wireless sensors networks.

Photon-Photon Correlations as a Probe of Vacuum Induced Coherence Effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present new experimental implications of the effects of vacuum induced coherence on the photon -photon correlation in the pi-polarized fluorescence in j = 1/2 to j = 1/2 transition.

A note on Gorenstein monomial curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Let $k$ be an arbitrary field. In this note, we show that if a sequence of relatively prime positive integers ${\bf a}=(a_1,a_2,a_3,a_4)$ defines a Gorenstein non complete intersection monomial curve ${\mathcal C}({\bf a})$ in ${\mathbb A}_k^4$, then ...

Feasibility of a storage ring for polar molecules in strong-field-seeking states [PDF]

open access: yesEurophysics J. D31, 359 (2004), 2006
We show, through modeling and simulation, that it is feasible to construct a storage ring that will store dense bunches of strong-field-seeking polar molecules at 30 m/s (kinetic energy of 2K) and hold them, for several minutes, against losses due to defocusing, oscillations, and diffusion.

Speed dependent polarization correlations in QED and entanglement [PDF]

open access: yesEur.Phys.J.D31:137-143,2004, 2004
Exact computations of polarizations correlations probabilities are carried out in QED, to the leading order, for initially polarized as well as unpolarized particles. Quite generally they are found to be speed dependent and are in clear violation of Bells inequality of Local Hidden Variables (LHV) theories.

Realization of face-shear piezoelectric coefficient d36 in PZT ceramics via ferroelastic domain engineering [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters 107, 122902 (2015), 2015
The piezoelectric face-shear (d36) mode may be the most useful shear mode in piezoelectrics, while currently this mode can only exist in single crystals of specific point groups and cut directions. Theoretically the d36 coefficient vanishes in piezoelectric ceramics because of its transversally isotropic symmetry .

On asymptotic structure at null infinity in five dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We discuss the asymptotic structure of null infinity in five dimensional space-time. Since it is known that the conformal infinity is not useful for odd higher dimensions, we shall employ the coordinate based method like the Bondi coordinate firstly ...
