Generalized Chaplygin Gas, Accelerated Expansion and Dark Energy-Matter Unification
We consider the scenario emerging from the dynamics of a generalized $d$-brane in a $(d+1, 1)$ spacetime. The equation of state describing this system is given in terms of the energy density, $\rho$, and pressure, $p$, by the relationship $p = - A/\rho^{\

Born-Infeld Type Phantom Model in the $\omega-\omega'$ Plane
In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of Born-Infeld(B-I) phantom model in the $\omega-\omega'$ plane, which is defined by the equation of state parameter for the dark energy and its derivative with respect to $N$(the logarithm of the scale factor ...

Functional role of PGAM5 multimeric assemblies and their polymerization into filaments. [PDF]
PGAM5 is a mitochondrial protein phosphatase whose genetic ablation in mice results in mitochondria-related disorders, including neurodegeneration. Functions of PGAM5 include regulation of mitophagy, cell death, metabolism and aging.

Chromosome Segregation in Closed Mitosis Under an Excess of Nuclear Envelope
This study investigated the impact of Nem1‐Spo7/lipin‐mediated nuclear envelope (NE) size regulation during closed mitosis in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Nem1 depletion resulted in persistent chromatin protrusions, particularly at the rDNA locus, leading to lagging chromosome XII's right arm sisters during late anaphase.

Theoretical Aspects of Neutrino Oscillation [PDF]
I review some aspects concerning the physics of neutrino mixing and oscillations. I discuss in some detail the physical neutrino oscillations parameter space in the case of two and three family mixing, and briefly describe the current knowledge of ...

Insurance, redistribution, and the inequality of lifetime income
Individuals vary considerably in how much they earn during their lifetimes. This study examines the role of the tax‐and‐transfer system in mitigating such inequalities, which could otherwise lead to disparities in living standards. Utilizing a life‐cycle model, we determine that the tax‐and‐transfer system offsets 45% of lifetime earnings inequality ...
