Signatures of Wild Animal Life in Earth's Landscapes
Abstract Animals shape Earth surface processes and landforms by displacing Earth surface materials and by making them more or less susceptible to geophysical processes. Despite increased recognition of the global significance of animal landscape “signatures”, analysis of their magnitude and generality has not been possible until now.

For the first time quantum refinement has been performed with X‐ray free‐electron laser and microcrystal electron diffraction data for the dinuclear iron site in the R2a protein of ribonucleotide reductase. The method is shown to work well and can be used to determine the protonation state of the bridging solvent molecule and deduce photoreduction in ...

Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a chronic condition requiring life‐long management. Accurate diagnosis can be challenging, with no reliable diagnostic test. This study aimed to generate a simple diagnostic model for cAD. This model is a relevant prototype for an app‐based tool to support general practitioners in the diagnosis of cAD alongside ...

Next‐Generation Bio‐Reducible Lipids Enable Enhanced Vaccine Efficacy in Malaria and Primate Models
Structure–activity relationship (SAR) optimization of bio‐reducible ionizable lipids enables the development of highly effective lipid nanoparticle (LNP) mRNA vaccines. Lead LNPs show superior tolerability and antibody responses in rodents and primates, outperforming approved COVID‐19 vaccine lipids.

Structures and mechanism of E2‐CBASS anti‐phage system
Abstract Bacteria deploy diverse innate immune systems to combat bacteriophage infections. The cyclic‐oligonucleotide‐based anti‐phage signaling system (CBASS) is a type of innate prokaryotic immune system. CBASS synthesizes cyclic‐oligonucleotide through cGAS/DncV‐like nucleotidyltransferases (CD‐NTases) to activate downstream effectors, which kill ...
