DAB-mediated localizations of H2O2 in ‘Super Sunload’ and ‘Super Doterang’ tomato scions grafted on ‘B-blocking’ as tomato rootstock grown under diverse day/night temperatures; normal-standard (23/23°C and 25/18°C) and high-low (30/15°C).

open access: yes, 2016
The rootstocks and scions were cut into transverse sections with razor blade, stained with DAB and observed under light microscope.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Data over DAB [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is a radio broadcast technology widely used in Europe and asian regions. Despite the popularity, there is no open-source tool that allows the transmission of arbitrary data over DAB.

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

A Unified Dual Active Bridge Model Based on Improved Extended Describing Function With Dead Time Compensation for Electric Vehicles

open access: yesIEEE Access
Dual active bridge (DAB) converter is well suited for deriving a high-power density plug-in hybrid electric vehicle charger. In this case, various DAB operation modes have to be considered, but few papers have established a unified DAB model.

Frequency-domain-based complete loss model for 10 kV/1 MW solid-state transformer

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study proposes a frequency-domain-based loss model for dual active bridge (DAB) inside modular multi-level cascaded solid-state transformer (SST). Previously, the loss model is mainly derived in the time domain and requires enormous modelling effort.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Enhancing maize resilience to drought stress: the synergistic impact of deashed biochar and carboxymethyl cellulose amendment

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Drought stress poses a significant challenge to maize production, leading to substantial harm to crop growth and yield due to the induction of oxidative stress. Deashed biochar (DAB) in combination with carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) presents an effective
